Thai Christian
Christianity in Thailand has a history that dates back to the 16th century, with the arrival of Portuguese missionaries the Ayutthaya Kingdom. The early missionaries, mostly Jesuits, were granted royal patronage and made initial inroads in spreading Christianity. Later, missionaries, from France, Britain, and the United States also arrived, and contributed to the development of education, healthcare, and social services in Thailand.
